WHAT IS POP UP THEATRE?
Theatre is not a confined space. It’s a street corner, your neighbor’s house, a coffee shop, or even an abandoned building–it’s wherever you choose to perform. But, it’s also the intent–the desire to make art. To leave your audience asking questions, filled with dreams, or simply leaving a performance feeling moved by what they’ve experienced and intrigued by where their mind will take them next. It’s an energizing idea designed to keep theatre fresh and dancing on the tongues of the community.
WHY UNTITLED?
Untitled is not a name, it’s an idea filled with promise. We’ve chosen this moniker to symbolize the ability to mold this idea into anything we choose. Much like performing in surprising spaces,Untitled demands intrigue and allows art to wear many hats.
OUR MISSION
Created in 2017, we wish nothing more than to share our love of the Arts with a variety of audiences across Western Oklahoma. As part of Untitled Pop Up Theatre, we also seek to challenge the hearts and minds of our audiences, stirring questions that may (or may not) fill you with wonder and amazement, and encouraging you to create. Art inspires art, and we wouldn’t want to live in a world without it, so please, go out and make it–wherever you can–on a street corner, at your neighbor’s house, in a coffee shop, or even in an abandoned building.
