UPUT is excited to announce the cast of “Shades of Autumn” by David L. Paterson. Directed by Tiphani Henderson and Assistant Director Cecilia Gensman. Make sure to mark your calenders and join us May 3 – 5, 2024 at the Gallery @ 112 in Sayre.
After not seeing his father for many years, Douglas is alerted by a worried neighbor and returns to his childhood home where his elderly parent is displaying signs of senility. Douglas relocates his father into a small apartment near his own. The move triggers an emotional journey through time as Douglas growing up with his emotionally distant and gruff yet caring father. Scenes traverse three decades of joy and pain, regrets and discoveries.
We were thrilled that we had an opportunity to double-cast each part. May 3 at 7:30 and May 4 at 3:00 pm the part of “Douglas” will be performed by Mark Henry and the part of his father “Arthur” will be portrayed by James Brown. Then May 4 at 7:30 pm and May 5 at 2:30 pm Denton Wood will make his UPUT debut as “Douglas” and Basil Weatherly will play his father “Arthur”. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain.
